At Milk+Honey they let Mother Nature guide their way in producing the raw ingredients for this luscious lotion bar.
Their handcrafted products are made with the help of local Nubian goats, who give their rich frothy milk.
The sweet golden honey, beeswax, and organic calendula flowers are harvested by their beekeeper and farmer friends in Northern New Mexico.
All lotions are hand-poured into artisan bars designed by a local sculptor and inspired by a Santa Fe life.
The lotion bar is scented using only natural lavender essential oils.

Local Honey and Beeswax
We use untreated beeswax in both Milk+Honey soap and lotion bars. Beeswax has antiseptic, softening, moisturizing, and healing properties. When the beeswax is gently melted with our calendula-infused almond oil in Milk+Honey Lotion Bars, the healing action of the calendula is intensified.
The raw honey in our soap hydrates and soothes the skin, laying down a clear, protective film that helps the skin maintain its moisture while still allowing the skin to breathe.
The almond oil in Milk+Honey Lotion Bars is a rich source of vitamins that nourish skin; its mildness makes it suitable for all skin-types and the lightness of the oil makes it absorb easily without blocking pores. And when our calendula-infused almond oil is gently melted with local, untreated beeswax, which has antiseptic, softening, moisturizing, and healing properties, the healing action of the calendula is intensified.
Like olive oil, coconut oil has been used as a skin and beauty treatment for centuries. Coconut oil is a rich source of fiber, minerals and vitamins, and contains lauric acid, a compound that helps to build the immune system. It is predominantly medium chain fatty acids, so its absorbed easily by the skin. It gives our soap a lovely, light lather, and is naturally moisturizing for your skin.
Essential oils are naturally occurring substances found in different parts of plants–the blossom, fruit, leaf, stem, bark, wood or resin. Essential Oils are produced through a complicated and often expensive process of distillation or extractions. Essential Oils are prized for their aromatherapeudic benefits and are often more tolerable for people with sensitive skin.
