Herringbone Twill Towels     
The inspiration for this towel came from a vintage piece of Fiesta-ware pottery.

This pattern is an enlarged version of a herringbone-twill plaid from A Handweaver's Pattern Book by Marguerite Porter Davison, page 26.

Yarns Aurora Earth 8/2 100% unmercerized cotton.

Equipment needed: 4-shaft loom, 10 dent reed; 20" weaving width

Finished size: two towels 16.5" x 24" each

Instructions needed: Winning-Towels-Handwovens-21st-Century-Towel-Contest available from Long Thread Media for warping and weaving instructions.
