Naturally Colored Cotton You can darken the color of naturally colored cotton by changing the PH of the rinse water. Add just a "dash" of clear ammonia to the water. If you have five skeins and are rinsing them all in the same water, add about 1/8th of a cup of ammonia. You can also darken and set the color by simmering your skeins in water for about 30 to 45 minutes. | Tip Categories | |
