Connections that Make a World of a Difference

Discover more about the Mayan Hands project at Cotton Clouds Blog

We have the opportunity to do things, big and small, that can make a positive impact on someone elseís day, on someone elseís life! The most wonderful thing about being human is our ability to share love, compassion, and empathy for the world around us.

The Natural Dye Project all started with a small group of women living in the mountains of San Rafael, Guatemala and a crew of inspiring volunteers. The Guatemalan women in this group were taught every step in the process of dying, winding and packing these beautiful natural colored yarns.

With this fantastic volunteer crew, and the womenís excitement for learning, the Friendship Towels with Tintes Naturales Kits were created!

With the skills of creating these beautiful hand dyed yarns and the ongoing popularity of the Friendship Tintes Naturales Kits the women in Guatemala working with the Natural Dyes Project are able to earn more than just a living wage. With the amount of money they earn from creating the Friendship Kits these women are able to save money for themselves, and their family, to buy things such as food staples (corn), electricity for their homes, and even money for their childrenís education.

The women of San Rafael are so very proud of their accomplishments of dyeing these all-cotton yarns and the ongoing popularity of their Friendship Towel kit with Tintes Naturales!

Here is your opportunity to make a positive impact on someone elseís day, on someone elseís life! Join us in creating change and connections around the globe by ordering any of the Tintes Naturales Friendship Kits from the Cotton Clouds website. The women in Guatemala canít wait to share their work with you!

Purchase a Friendship Towels with Tintes of Naturales kit for you, or several kits to share and become part of the change! Every time your hand picks up a Friendship Towel, youíll be reminded that your hands have reached across the border and touched so many lives in such a huge way!

Sending love to the weaving community
