Log cabin is an amazing color-and-weave effect!
When looking at this weave structure you would never believe that only two colors in plain weave would produce such an intricate look.
There seems to be so much more going on than just over-and-under plain weave.
Woven on any 2 shaft loom with at least 25.4" weaving width and 10 dent reed. (You can easily weave these towels on a loom with a smaller width by decreasing the warp threads)

You can find this, and more rigid heddle towel patterns in our newly published, spiral-bound,

We highly recommend The Weaver's Idea Book for tips on color-and-weave effect and more! This is a great reference tool for rigid heddle weaving.
