Weaving with Fine Yarns
Don't be afraid of using fine yarns.
A fine yarn will break more easily than a heavy one, but when you work with a group of fine yarns (as in your whole warp together) you shouldn't have any problem. Here are a couple of tips:
I always wind back to front and I think that is the easiest way to work with finer yarns. It is easier to keep them all under even tension that way (at least in my opinion).
Use a boat shuttle when weaving. Wind your bobbins firmly.
Develop a rhythm when weaving. Learn to weave without fiddling with your selvedges.
Peggy Osterkamp talks about how to do that in her book Weaving for Beginners which every weaver, beginner or experienced should own!
